Tuscany holiday rental
The Olive Houses are two design tiny houses at the heart of a working farm stay in the hills of Buggiano, in the Valdinievole: newly built, self-contained studios set in a 7-hectare olive grove overlooking the Montecatini Terme valley. Each holiday home has a private terrace, a powerful AC/heating system that reaches the perfect temperature in minutes, and a bright, curated interior. Slow mornings, golden light and the silence of the Tuscan countryside — 10 minutes from Montecatini's thermal spas, an hour from Florence.
The houses
Each Olive House is an independent home for 2–4 guests: ideal for a couple or a small family on holiday in Tuscany. Private entrance, no shared spaces — just you, the terrace and the valley.
Why it's different
Most places make you choose: authentic countryside, or modern comfort. Here you don't.
The Olive Houses sit inside a real working olive farm — so you wake among the trees, in total silence, yet with a perfect climate, curated interiors and your own terrace over the valley. And on the property there's the area's top-rated Tuscan restaurant. Montecatini, Lucca and Florence are all close. It's glamping-level nature with none of the roughing-it.
The estate & the restaurant
Seven hectares of hillside in production: olive trees, birdsong, long views toward Montecatini Terme. Wander the olive-grove paths and watch the light change over the valley.
And a short walk from your door is the Amici del Colle restaurant: a family story going back more than 35 years, today one of the area's best loved — 4.6/5 on Google, 650+ reviews, the top-rated table in Buggiano. Traditional Tuscan cooking with a modern touch, built on produce from the valleys below and the estate's own olive oil. Dinner with this view, without touching the car, is half the holiday (booking recommended).
Where you are
The estate sits in the hills of Buggiano, in the Valdinievole: the green heart of Tuscany between Florence and the coast, away from the crowds yet perfectly placed to explore — thermal spas, art cities and the Versilia beaches all within a day trip. The Tuscany people picture but rarely find.
Your host
I grew up here in the hills near Pescia, and looking after this estate — the olive groves, the land — is part of who I am. I built the Olive Houses to share this corner of Tuscany with travellers from all over: the slow mornings, the light, the good food. I live nearby, so I'm easy to reach for anything you need, while leaving you the quiet and independence this place is made for.
Good to know
